daIRC recommends that when users can, they use the
java based client
. If you don't have java, you can download it from
java.com
In cases where you either don't have

firewall
, the CGI based client can help deal with this. Please be aware, though, that because this client runs from our servers directly, if you're located outside of North America you
may
suffer from lag.
